| The Brownwood Bulletin became the community's first daily newspaper on October 15, 1900. The daily was first published Monday through Saturday. In 1940 the weekend newspaper began carrying a Sunday dateline. The Bulletin continues to be published as a weekday afternoon and Sunday morning daily and celebrated its 100th birthday in the year 2000.
